Just as the brilliant sun sometimes slips behind the darkness of the moon, so also the light in our lives sometimes enters a passage into shadow. These periods, in which colors become muted, and the pathway forward is less clear, are moments of alignment, when we gain the insight of the night which cannot be accessed in the day. And then, as the moon slowly slides away, and the sunshine begins to return, we rise up into a new day with more wisdom, compassion, understanding and acceptance. This is the gift of the eclipse.
