Written letters of praise for John Two-Hawks Books and Music...
BOOK REVIEW - Hidden Medicine
"All artists strive to come from a place of personal truth. John Two-Hawks has always done this with his music. In his powerful and courageous book, 'Hidden Medicine', he does it again. He reveals that no matter how dark and painful one's personal circumstances, there is a seed of truth to be found that can help shine the light of hope and heal the soul."
~ George S. Clinton - Award Winning Hollywood Film Score Composer & Former Chair of Film Music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA
BOOK REVIEW - Hidden Medicine
"The cure always comes from within. Through his profound insight and intensely personal experiences, John Two-Hawks eloquently provides the antidote to assist others on their own healing journey, helping them to bravely blaze a path through their heart to find their own 'Hidden Medicine'.
~ Dr. Jesse Lopez, D.O.
BOOK REVIEW - Hidden Medicine
"John Two-Hawks shares memories of his struggles with abuse and how he came through all of it without bitterness or judgement and then healed those deep childhood wounds, bringing 'Hidden Medicine' to the world.".
~ Gladys McCoy - Director, Ozark Research Institute
BOOK REVIEW - Hidden Medicine
"A smart and thoughtful reflection of what it takes to rise from the ashes of a contaminated childhood. I encourage you to read this story and learn to forgive (or pardon), learn how not to hurt, and learn to know when to interfere and protect a child."
~ Lara Webb Fors - Director, Springfield Regional Prosecutors' Child Support Office
REVIEW of 'Peace' Album (album downloaded from iTunes)
"I am sitting here listening and I love, love it. It is just awesome and I think I will need to use it for my students when we are working on anxiety issues next week. Just wow, sitting on the porch watching the sunset, just soaking in the beauty of Mother Earth and my talented and gifted brothers' music; life doesn't get any better. Thank you Creator, truly I am blessed."
- Darlene Kimbrough
CONCERT TESTIMONIAL
"I wanted to express my gratitude to you for performing the wonderful concert at The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas last Saturday. Such peace and harmony are rare these days. I want you to know that when it ended it seemed like no one wanted to leave their seats, and did so reluctantly. I am enjoying the music I got at the show tremendously and hope you will continue to bless us with your talent and wisdom."
~ Rita Stiles - Concert Spectator
REVIEW of 'Beautiful World' CD
"Big thanks for Beautiful World! [I am] really enjoying it, and the "new horizons & soundscapes " it has in it. Truly one of your very best works, huge congrats!!!"
~ Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish
REVIEW of 'Horse Spirit' CD
John, I've listened to "Horse Spirit" several times with both Eric and Shaela, and we all love it. It's very different from "Beautiful World" which I've also enjoyed so much. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful music with us. What a gift to the world. I love everything about "Horse Spirit"!
~ Grammy Award Winning Musician, Laura Sullivan
REVIEW of 'Beautiful World' CD
"Wow- It's [the 'Beautiful World' Album] absolutely wonderful. I feel John has opened a new door and stepped through it with the courage of his convictions. Beautiful, soulful, inspiring, comforting- I could go on and on. I loved all of it- perfect use of voice (he's singing GREAT!), synths, acoustic instruments, and of course his flute. Also beautifully produced and mixed. It transcends the boundaries of culture and style to a musical and spiritual place accessible to all who would listen. It's hard to find favorites among the cuts, but I found myself particularly drawn to For Grace and To Know You. Please share this with John and tell him congratulations."
~ George S. Clinton - Award Winning Hollywood Film Score Composer & Former Chair of Film Music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA
TESTIMONIAL of the 'HEAL' Album
"John Two-Hawks,
Hi, my name is Donna, and I am a retail manager and music lover. I am Comanche, and have listened to Native music for many years - that is about all I ever listen to. I sell music in my store so that others can hear and feel what I feel everyday. About 2 months ago, my Four Winds sales rep sent me a demo of 'HEAL'. I wanted the chance to tell you that 'HEAL' was the most beautiful, spiritual and heartfelt CD I have ever heard. It touched me more than any other has. At the time, I needed it. I look forward to the day I may get to meet you, and be able to say thank you personally - you helped me a lot. I now sell your music in my store."
~ Donna
REVIEW of 'Beautiful World' CD
“The shift has begun.” John Two-Hawks continues to dig deep into his soulful creative vision to create beautiful music. His message is of beauty and hope, thereby bringing humanity in a collective force to peace and healing. John Two-Hawks is a GRAMMY and Emmy nominated recording artist. His signature brand is World Fusion and Native and Alternative music. Beautiful World delivers a symphonic sound on ‘Rising Up’. I enjoyed the strings and fullness of the sound. Track number seven ‘For Grace’ is a tribute to the victims of Newtown with profound lyrics for love. John’s indigenous woodwinds are woven into most of the songs, bringing forth an ethereal feeling of hope and healing. The CD offers a mix of songs with a vocal message and songs with evocative instrumentals.

TESTIMONIAL
John Two-Hawks writes music that transcends a performance space. With his flute, he takes listeners to the wild plains before the Europeans came and to quiet places that can still be found in America. With his stories, he keeps alive not only his Lakota heritage but the history of a people that were in touch with Mother Earth and Father Sky. He holds an audience spellbound — truly — and then sends them out to see the world through different eyes.

TESTIMONIAL
“It was my good fortune to work with John Two-Hawks on the music for the Emmy winning movie, "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee", and it is my great pleasure to call him my friend. His talent is exceeded only by his concern for and efforts toward the healing of both the human heart and the planet. I have never met anyone who is more able to channel his spirit so directly into his art in a way that touches all who hear him. In a world which at times seems bent on self-destruction, he truly is a force for the good and a champion in the fight to save the environment.”
~ George S. Clinton - Award Winning Hollywood Film Score Composer
