"Nature's Voices"
Lyrics by Kim Bonell, Music by
John Two-Hawks
Chorus
Nature's Voices, call to me,
call to me each morn
Soft and sweet, are their words,
I have been reborn
Stone Brother calls to me, tells
me of his history....
traveling far and wide, catching
the ebb and tide
(Chorus)
Oh great pine I hear your rhyme,
hold me to your heart....
see my light come shining through,
I know we'll never part
(Chorus)
Wind so gentle share your tale,
tell me of the world....
of vast lands still unheard,
where man has not yet furled
(Chorus)
Ina Mother I love your voice,
draw me to you breast....
take me to your highest land,
to see beyond the crest
(Chorus)
He was born the only boy, son
of a music man....
who played guitars and violins
with the skill of a master's hand
His daddy died when he was four,
and took the music away....
but way deep down inside his
soul, you could hear it softly play
He spent his life in a factory,
to give us clothes and meals
He said he'd never own a vette,
but his four kids were his wheels
A gentle, quiet, working man
who taught me right from wrong....
he gave me more than he'll ever
know, so I had to write this song
Chorus
The music man is growing old,
and his guitar don't get played....
but his dream is in my fingertips,
and his song will never fade
So though I might get credit
for the music that I bring....
the music man deserves it all,
for it's his song that I sing
You taught me how to be a man,
to stand up tall and proud
You taught me how to like myself,
so I would not follow the crowd
You taught me that through music,
you can say what's hard to show
And Dad that's why I wrote this
song, to say I love you so
(Chorus)
Listen....
to the strings that echo the pain of a lonely man,
so many songs to play
Listen....
to the mind that tells the story that few understand,
so many things to say
Chorus
Every song is another phase,
secrets exposed as the music plays
And if you listen and watch,
you can hear and see....
the heart that feels the poetry,
that brings a tear to the eye
And if you listen....
you can hear the poets cry
Listen....
to the voice that opens the door so emotions can flow,
so many songs to sing
Listen....
to the heart that captures the moment and then must let it go,
losing track of everything
(Chorus)
Bridge
Buying time on sorrow's waves,
sailing the once deep, shallow sea
Cast a line for someone who
craves, passion that fuels love meant to be,
but only to find.... the
sea is empty
Add to the legacy....
another song
Listen....
to the strings that echo the pain of a lonely man,
so many songs to play
Listen....
to the mind that tells the story that few understand,
so many things to say
(Chorus)
Thank you Ozark Mountains, for
giving me a home
Redbuds, dogwoods and Blue Spring,
I am never alone
The sunset is my family, shows
up 'round supper time
Surrounded by this forest, these
birds are friends of mine
Thank you Ozark Mountains, you
teach me how to slow
For long deep breaths and happiness,
with nowhere I need to go
For garden swings and shining
things, for yellow daffodils....
the color of rain, the scent
of life, and feathered hello trills
Chorus
Ancient Ozark Mountains, your
silver cooling streams
Your green and blue and 'I love
you' still visit in my dreams
Thank you Ozark Mountains, you
teach me life is sweet
In humble silence I sit, to
learn at your mighty feet....
and walk along the wisdom path,
to secrets I can't share,
and to know the power of your
past, and let you take me there
Thank you Ozark Mountains, for
giving me a chance
With autumn leaves that spin
and swirl, I join the joyful dance
And when my days are dimmer,
and it's time for my depart....
just scatter me in this place,
that already holds my heart
(Chorus)
Winter cold had stolen all my
dreams
I wandered aimlessly upon the
breeze....
wishing there was someone there
for me....
to fill the pages of my memory
And it was you
Then like the dragonfly on angel's
wings,
the scent of daffodils in early
spring,
you drifted into my world like
a song
It felt as if you'd been there
all along
And it was you
Golden summer sun upon your face
Fill me with the warmth of your
embrace
Barefoot castles built upon
the shore
All it took was you and nothing
more
And it was you.... It was you
I see the changing colors in
your hair
Love is all around me like the
air
Autumn leaves are falling over
me,
but you're the only thing that
I can see
And it was you.... It was you
In sacred silence we walk hand
in hand
We do not need a word to understand
Winter smiles have come for
you and me
I will love you for eternity....
And it was you....
It was you.... It was you
Standing in the wind....
Falling on your knees....
Hear the eagle call....
Feel the Spirit breathe....
You are one with all....
All is one with you....
Reaching to the sky....
PRAY....
(REPEAT)
"Wisdom"
Lyrics by John Two-Hawks
Once, we were close....
to Mother Earth, to Spirit, to each other.
All things were sacred, the
tree, the rock, the wind, you, and I.
Darkness has come, to our people.
And we have forgotten the sacred
way, of our ancestors.
Ho Tunkasila! Help us
Grandfather, to find once again,
the path of peace.
We must rise as smoke from the
ashes of a great fire.
We must think, of the 7th generation.
We, are their hope.
And we must learn once again,
that all things, are indeed,
connected....
Mitakuye Oyasin.

"Love Song"
Lyrics by Peggy Hill
Welcome the rain. Soften
the pain. Love is gonna do it all...
Prisoner's release. Enemies,
peace. Love is gonna do it all...
Strength to forgive. Reason
to live. Love is gonna do it all...
Food for the child. Arms
full and mild. Love is gonna do it all...
Yesterday's tears are gone.
Sunrise, new dawn. Love is gonna do it all...
Walk on, it's done. Walk
on, walk on. Love has done it all...
"Honor"
Lyrics by John Two-Hawks
Honor the wind.... the
moon and the seasons
You come, you go.... you
come again
Honor the Circle.... which
never ends
Honor the Spirit.... and
we live
